Peacock — Premier League's Exclusive US Home

Peacock — Premier League's Exclusive US Home

Peacock has US rights to all 380 Premier League matches per season, plus Sunday Night Football, IndyCar, and the Olympics. From $7.99/month.

NBC’s $2.7 billion Premier League extension runs through 2028. The Peacock product is the practical heart of that deal — every match streams on the $7.99/month service, with NBC and USA Network simulcasting roughly 175 marquee fixtures on cable. For Premier League watching in the US, Peacock is the entire game.

The platform also carries Sunday Night Football, the Olympics, IndyCar, NASCAR Truck Series, NFL Wild Card playoff exclusives, the WWE Premium Live Events catalog, and a selective entertainment library. The non-Premier-League sports padding makes the subscription cost more justifiable than a soccer-only service would.

Why Peacock won the Premier League

NBC has held US Premier League rights since 2013, and the network’s commitment outpaced what beIN Sports or ESPN had previously delivered. Pre-match shows, post-match analysis, and full-season studio coverage built a US Premier League-fan culture that didn’t really exist before NBC took the rights. Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Mustoe, Robbie Earle, and a rotating cast of pundits made Premier League Mornings appointment viewing for American supporters.

When NBC negotiated its 2022 extension, the Peacock product was the lever. Cable distribution alone wasn’t enough to justify the price; pulling the full 380-match catalog into Peacock turned the rights into a streaming-subscription acquisition tool.

What’s on Peacock vs NBC vs USA

Peacock: every Premier League match, including the Tuesday/Wednesday midweek slate, the smaller Sunday kickoffs, and the bulk of mid-table mid-week fixtures that rarely make linear TV.

NBC: roughly 50 Saturday-morning matches per season, generally the marquee fixture in the early window. Plus most of the Saturday-noon broadcast slot.

USA Network: roughly 125 matches per season. Saturday late kickoffs, Sunday early-afternoon fixtures, key midweek matches when scheduling allows.

The simulcasts are not exclusive — every match that lands on NBC or USA also streams on Peacock the same time. If you have cable that includes USA Network, you’ll catch the marquee weekend fixtures without paying for Peacock. But the mid-week fixtures and the smaller weekend matches require Peacock.

Pricing in 2026

Peacock standard (with ads): $7.99/month or $79.99/year.

Peacock Premium Plus (ad-free, downloads, one local NBC stream): $13.99/month or $139.99/year.

Both tiers carry every Premier League match. The Premium Plus tier removes ads from on-demand content but still carries pre-roll ads on live sports broadcasts.

What Peacock isn’t

Champions League: not here. Paramount+ holds UEFA’s club competition rights. When a Premier League side plays a Champions League knockout, you switch apps.

FA Cup: not here either. ESPN+ has FA Cup rights stateside.

EFL Cup: also not here. Paramount+ has EFL Cup.

The MLS: that’s Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass.

Other sports worth knowing about on Peacock

Sunday Night Football: the marquee NFL Sunday slot, exclusive to Peacock for the streaming-only crowd plus simulcast on NBC linear. Wild Card playoff games: occasional exclusive Peacock NFL playoff broadcasts (the 2023 Bills-Steelers game was Peacock’s first full NFL exclusive, and they’ve added one or two per cycle since).

The Olympics: NBC’s Olympics rights run through 2032. Peacock streams live coverage of Summer and Winter Games, plus on-demand replays.

IndyCar: full season coverage, with NBC simulcasting marquee races (Indy 500, Long Beach).

WWE Premium Live Events: the entire catalog through 2031 — WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, all available on Peacock.
